Week 3 Update

7/25/11

Careprost

My dad just got back from India & I asked him if he could find Careprost since I've heard its from India. 

Lo & behold, he found it & brought two bottles for me! 

As some of you may know, Careprost is a generic brand of the popular Latisse.

I can't wait to try it out! I still have the Loreal Lash Serum & the Ardell Brow & Lash Growth Accelerator. These two have made my lashes stronger, but thicker & longer? Not really. Maybe I'll try it on my brows as well. I just hope there are no side effects =/

Here are some cons!!!

-   Has been found to PERMANENTLY darken the skin around the eyes and irises (so be careful those who have blue/green eyes). However, this has only been found at higher concentrations than that in Latisse.

-   Hair can grow in areas which experience repeated contact

-   Can cause itchy, red eyes

-   If you stop using the solution, your eyelashes will return to their previous form

-   It has been found (on trials) to reduce the fat around the eyes (leading to more wrinkles!) However, again, this appears to reverse when you stop using the solution

MAC Studio Fix Fluid in NC40- finally found my shade! I thought i was nc42, but that was too orange (which the MUA said it means its too dark for me). I used to be an nc35!

bareMinerals Pretty Amazing Lipcolor in Charisma- gorgeous colors but i hate how they get all gross on your lips after a while...its super sticky too

Pretty simple look

I used MAC All That Glitters all around the eye...

it really makes your eyes pop when you apple it around the tear duct

Mascara-Full n Soft (Maybelline)

and a pop of color on the lips using MAC Russian Red lipglass & lipstick

I also contoured very lightly using my MAC mineralized skin finish in Dark/Natural (w/shimmer) on my cheeks & the crease of my eyes

Face Scrub!

Now I've heard of homemade face scrubs with oatmeal

But you should really try this! 

I tried it today & love it

it really exfoliates well

Milk

Sour cream/full fat yogurt

rice flour (or green chickpea flour)

You can also add a few drops of lemon juice or tomato pulp 

(or you can rub the pulp itself on your face & let dry)

Use the mixture as a scrub & massage in circular motions

Let the mixture/mask dry for max. 30 minutes 

& wash off! 

Voila!

Smooth skin!

2 Revlon Color Stay Foundation in Natural Tan (Combination/Oily)---so far, so good...havent seen how it photographs yet though

3 Sinful Colors Professional Nail Polish in Hazard (952)----I love that its only $1.99-this shade is the perfect summer nail polish!

4 BCBG Max Azria Strapless Maxi Dress---love this & had to splurge since I never find anything haha....can you tell I'm ready for warm weather!? Can't wait to wear this!

5 Revlon Beyond Natural lashes in Thickening Chic

6 Makeup removal wipes!

7 Eco tools Concealer brush---love this brush so far...i needed a big one! Blends my under eye concealer well :)

8 Crest 3D White Advanced Vivid toothpaste----trying to whiten my teeth...lets see how well this works!

Coral lips!

Soft Coral is a softened orange; more orange than coral.

I didn't really like the color on me, it was too dull.

I wasn't a fan of the formula either because of the coverage. 

Though its buildable, it comes out streaky.
